Hello!

With over 20 years of industry experience and described as the “friendliest man in dance”, Tim Casson is an artist, facilitator & educator with a passion for supporting people to develop, grow, and reach their full creative potential.

Tim has worked in a range of roles across the dance sector, supporting artists at all stages of their careers in educational and professional development contexts.

He also consults for individuals and organisations within the arts and beyond on a range of areas including; community engagement, participatory practice, technology in performance, and artist development.

Tim has devised and delivered Artist Development programmes and participatory activity for organisations including:

  • Jasmin Vardimon Company
    founding their JV2 Professional Development Programme

  • Candoco Dance Company
    where he was Creative Learning Producer (2020-2022) leading on Artist Development and delivering Access & Inclusion Training

  • DanceEast

  • East London Dance x London College of Fashion
    delivering their ‘Creative Lab’ Fashion, Technology & Dance Lab

  • National Youth Dance Company

  • Sadler’s Wells
    where he has worked extensively for over 10 years and has been the Programme Leader for their Young Associates Artist Development programme since 2017, mentoring over 70 artists

As an educator Tim has taught and lectured extensively across a range of institutions including:

  • Royal Holloway University

  • London Contemporary Dance School

  • Northern School of Contemporary Dance

  • University of Wolverhampton

  • University of Bedfordshire

  • University of Lincoln
    where he is currently an Associate Artist 2023-25

Tim is also the artistic director of Guinness World Record breaking dance company Casson & Friends, most known for their joyful accessible work such as The Dance WE Made.
